Enyo in Greek tradition
Blood splashed Enyo’s shoulders and hands as she moved through the battle and shouted for joy. She brought hatred, close combat, and calamitous destruction. She delighted in battle.
Enyo accompanied Ares in the war at Troy and fought beside him. She was also associated with Athena. In another telling, she stood beside Ares during the war against Dionysos. In a further telling, she stood between Zeus and Typhon and aided neither side, so the conflict continued. At Troy, she rejoiced over the slaughter while the armies fought. One telling made her the sister of Ares. Another made her his mother or nurse.
